DTLA-ers are quite familiar with a fast-paced, metropolitan vibe, but nowhere is this more prevalent than in South Park. The neighborhood is in the center of some of the best entertainment venues and cultural institutions in the City.
The STAPLES Center is located near WREN’s apartments in South Park, DTLA. For sports fans, it’s the home of the Lakers, Clippers, Sparks, and Kings. For music fans, it’s where the biggest stars perform and where the Grammy’s take place. For us, it’s a neighborhood hangout.
We’d be remiss if we didn’t mention LA Live after talking about the STAPLES Center. LA Live is the entertainment district of downtown. In addition to STAPLES Center, you’ll find the Microsoft Theater as well as clubs, restaurants, movie theaters, and music venues.
LA Fashion District
LA has always been at the forefront of fashion, so it’s only appropriate that downtown is a hub for fashion lovers and professionals everywhere. The Fashion District dominates the 90 blocks that are just a few minutes from our apartments in South Park, DTLA. Don’t be surprised if you run into a celebrity or famous designer here.
Getting around LA has never been easier thanks to some great public transportation systems. WREN is just a hop, skip, and a jump from several commute options. Plus, in South Park, you have easy access to the Freeways.
DASH is a localized bus service that takes you to downtown’s major neighborhoods. It also provides links to the Metrolink and Metro Rail System.
Wouldn’t you love a bus that’s super quick with as little stops as possible? That’s the point of the Commuter Express program. Specifically, routes 431 and 437 are the closest stops to apartments in South Park, DTLA.
This is a major station within the Metro Rail System, which includes both light rail and subway lines. The Purple, Red, and Blue Lines are all served at the 7th Street/Metro Center stop.
