STAPLES Center Arena

Get Some Great Food

We know that the area is chock full of some spectacular dining options. Here are just a couple of our favorites at LA Live.

  • At Live Basil Pizza, you’re served only the freshest pizza. How do you know that it’s really fresh? It’s made right in front of you.
  • Tom’s Urban is a great spot for gathering up your friends, getting some drinks and sharing some locally sourced bites.
  • For fancier fare, try hitting up Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse. A scrumptious steak with some tasty wine is the perfect way to prepare for watching a game or show.

LA Live - South Park neighborhood

LA Live is an entertainment hub for the South Park neighborhood, just like LA is an entertainment hub for the entire country. Here’s some of the best spots for a musical experience at LA live.

●    The Conga Room

  • A world famous music venue house in LA Live co-owned by the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Paul Rodriguez, WillI.am, among others, the Conga Room severs amazing Pan-Latin Cuisine and live entertainment in the styles of salsa and world-beat, rock en Español, jazz, urban, R&B, and pop/rock.

●    The Novo

  • Once known as club Nokia, the Novo adopted it’s new name in march 2016. An indoor club with 2,300 capacity, it’s the go-to spot in South Park, LA for seeing bigger touring acts in both music and comedy.

●    Microsoft Theater

  • Similarly to the Novo, Microsoft Theater was formerly known as the Nokia theater – it’s a 7,000+ person auditorium which holds one of the largest stages in the country. It’s home to massive award shows like the ESPY’s, AMAs, and the Emmys and it’s the #1 spot in LA to see massive touring acts, aside from the Staples Center across the street.

●    The Grammy Museum

  • If Music History is of interest to you, then you’ll love the Grammy Museum at LA Live. The Museum has four floors full of musical artifacts, along with interactive touchscreens, recording booths, and instrument stations to allow for hands on learning throughout. Since opening in 2008, the museum has hosted all sorts of exhibits that pay tribute to music’s rich cultural history, along with over 300 public educational programs.

When it comes to a movie watching experience, you can’t help but have high expectations. After all, we’re close to Hollywood, the birthplace of modern cinema. Fortunately, South Park DTLA is likewise the forefront of movie theater technology.

  • The RealD Premiere Cinema allows you to enjoy 3D like a celebrity. This theater boasts 774 stadium seats, a private green room, and an elegant lobby and staircase. It’s no surprise that movie premiers are often held here.
  • If you want to step it up a notch, then 4DX is where it’s at. Regal utilizes special effects and motion seats, giving you an evening more intimate experience of the film you’re watch.
  • Barco projects films onto panoramic screens that wrap around you. There theaters also include special sound design, which combined with the screen, makes you feel as though you’re in the world of the move, not separate from it. It’s a truly futuristic experience.
