The 9 Best Food Trucks in South Park, LA
It’s an exciting time for foodies. Why? The whole country is in the midst of a food truck revolution! And, if there is anyone to thank for this scrumptious movement, it would be Los Angelinos. Not only is Los Angeles the birthplace of the food truck craze, it’s home to the top food trucks in the country. Since WREN’s DTLA apartments are centrally located, we’re quite familiar with the best bites on wheels. When it comes to food trucks in DTLA, these are the nine that you absolutely must try!

2. Son of a Bun

Son of a Bun hangs out in the LA Arts District, which is only a couple of miles from our DTLA apartments. This truck is all about freshness, and when you bite into one of their gourmet burgers, you can tell. (We recommend biting the AvoEgg Burger.) So, for a tasty, juicy, toasty, cheesy experience, make sure to keep an eye out for Son of a Bun.
3. El Chato Taco Truck

Really, all El Chato has to do is serve up their mouthwatering street tacos and everyone is happy. But, they don’t stop there. They go on to blow us all away with incredible mulitas, burritos, and quesadillas as well.
4. The Holy Grill

People who seek glatt kosher meals often hit up The Holy Grill. This truck usually stakes out a spot on S. Los Angeles and E. 16th Street, which is about a 10-minute walk from WREN’s apartments in DTLA. From 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays, you’ll find them serving up awesome traditional Israeli fare.
5. Ta Bom Truck

If flavor is your thing, then Ta Bom is your truck. For nearly a decade, Ta Bom has been delighting DTLA-ers with authentic Brazilian food. In fact, they are one of the few food trucks in DTLA that can say they were the first in their space! So, for an amazing home-cooked Brazilian meal, check out Ta Bom’s truck on 123 S. Figueroa Street.
